CONS : Renovations can be disruptive to your daily life and requires careful planning.

PROS : Remodeling your basement will increase your living space. Alternatively a basement remodel can  act as an income investment by building a legal secondary suite. 

CONS : Remodeling your basement can increase your risk of flooding to your basement if your home is located in an area with a high water table. General contractors can reduce this risk for you.

PROS : Renovating your bathroom can increase storage and counter space, and make it more energy efficient.

CONS: Remodeling your bathroom can be very expensive. There is always a risk that something could go wrong which could result in further costs or delays.
